Rapide Anti-Mould Coating is a quick-drying white protective coating specially formulated to help protect interior walls and ceilings against mould growth.

The convenient aerosol application makes it easy to treat suitable affected areas, leaving a clean matt white finish that helps resist mould, moisture and steam. It is particularly useful in bathrooms, kitchens, cellars, utility rooms and other interior areas where condensation and mould can be a problem.

For best results, any existing mould should be treated and removed before application, and underlying sources of damp should be investigated where necessary.

Preparation

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from loose material, grease, oil, dirt and moisture
  • Treat and remove any existing mould using a suitable mould killer before applying the coating
  • Allow new plaster to dry for approximately 7 days and seal before application
  • Fill and sand any cracks or holes before treatment
  • Mask surrounding areas carefully to protect against overspray

How to Use

1. Prepare the Aerosol: Ensure the aerosol is at room temperature before use.

2. Shake Thoroughly: Shake the can thoroughly for approximately 2 minutes before application and occasionally during use.

3. Spray: Hold the can upright approximately 25–30cm from the surface and spray evenly across the required area.

4. Apply Additional Coats: Apply 2–3 coats, allowing at least 15 minutes between each coat.

5. Allow to Dry: The coating is touch dry in approximately 2 hours.

6. Ventilate: Keep the area well ventilated during and after application. Where possible, leave doors and windows open for 24 hours to help prevent condensation while the coating fully dries.

Important Information

  • Treat and remove existing mould before application
  • Do not apply below 10°C
  • Use only in a well-ventilated area
  • Protect surrounding surfaces from overspray
  • Do not paint over the anti-mould coating, as this can prevent it from working effectively
  • If mould is being caused by an underlying damp problem, the source of the damp should be investigated and treated
  • Aerosol is flammable – follow all safety instructions on the container
  • Protect from frost and extremes of temperature
