PeelAway 1 & 7 Tester Kit is a twin sample pack containing both PeelAway 1 and PeelAway 7, designed to help determine which paint removal system is most suitable before purchasing a larger pack.

The two products are applied as separate test patches, allowing you to compare their performance, establish the required application thickness and determine the correct dwell time for the coatings being removed. This makes the kit particularly useful when the type or age of the existing paint system is uncertain.

PeelAway 1

PeelAway 1 is designed primarily for removing older coatings, including multiple layers of old oil-based and lead-based paints.

PeelAway 7

PeelAway 7 is designed for removing more modern paints and varnishes, including many water-based and acrylic coatings.

How to Use

1. Prepare Separate Test Areas: Select suitable areas of the coated surface and apply PeelAway 1 and PeelAway 7 as separate test patches.

2. Test Different Thicknesses: Apply the products at different thicknesses to help establish the most effective application depth for the coating being removed.

3. Apply the Blankets: Cover each test patch with the appropriate PeelAway blanket and smooth it onto the paste, removing any air bubbles.

4. Allow to Work: Leave the products to work and periodically check the test areas. Required dwell time will depend on the type, age and number of coating layers.

5. Compare Results: Once the paint layers lift easily, compare the test patches to determine which PeelAway system, application thickness and dwell time are most suitable for the project.

6. Follow the Selected System: Before proceeding with the full project, follow the individual application instructions for either PeelAway 1 or PeelAway 7 as appropriate.
