How to Use

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the stone is completely clean and dry before treatment.

2. Test First: Carry out a test application in an inconspicuous area to check suitability, colour enhancement and the final appearance.

3. Apply: Apply Lithofin MN Slate-Seal evenly using a clean foam roller or suitable brush.

4. Additional Coat: On highly absorbent surfaces, a second thin coat may be required.

5. Avoid Over-Application: Apply evenly and do not leave excessive product on the surface.

6. Allow to Dry: Leave the treated surface to dry completely before returning it to normal use.

Application tools can be cleaned with Lithofin WAX-OFF. Where suitable, Lithofin WAX-OFF can also be used to remove Lithofin MN Slate-Seal.

Application Conditions

• Surface Temperature: 5–25°C
• Switch off underfloor heating before application
• Apply only to completely dry surfaces
• Ensure the substrate cannot be affected by rising or penetrating moisture
• Always test before full application

Drying Time

• Safe to Walk On: Approximately 45 minutes
• Completely Dry: Approximately 24 hours

• Rough Limestone: Approximately 10m²/L
• Sawn Granite: Approximately 12m²/L

Durability

With correct maintenance and depending on the amount of wear and tear, Lithofin MN Slate-Seal can provide protection for several years.

Actual durability will depend on the type of stone, level of use, cleaning regime and amount of product applied.

Important Information

• Recommended for indoor use only

• Moisture within or underneath the stone can cause the sealer to turn white
• Ensure moisture cannot penetrate the sealed surface from underneath

• The treatment can affect slip resistance depending on the stone and amount applied
