Barrettine Woodworm Killer Trigger Spray is a ready-to-use, water-based treatment designed for the prevention and eradication of woodworm and wood-boring insects. Its deep-penetrating, low-odour formula is effective against common wood-boring insects and their larvae and eggs.

Suitable for internal timber, the treatment can be used on rough, sawn or smooth wood and is effective against Common Furniture Beetle, House Longhorn Beetle, Powder Post Beetle and wood-boring Weevils. Once fully dry, treated timber can be painted, varnished, polished or stained.

Preparation

Ensure the timber is clean, dry and free from dirt and surface coatings such as paint or varnish. Vacuum away bore dust and sawdust before treatment so the product can penetrate the timber effectively.

How to Use

1. Prepare the Timber: Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt, paint, varnish and other surface coatings. Remove bore dust and sawdust by vacuuming.

2. Apply: Apply the Woodworm Killer directly to the timber using the trigger spray.

3. Treat Thoroughly: Ensure surfaces are thoroughly treated, paying particular attention to end grain, joints, exit holes and crevices.

4. Application Rate: Apply at 200ml per m² for preventative treatment or 300ml per m² for eradication treatment, following the product label instructions.

5. Allow to Dry: Allow the treated timber to dry fully before applying paint, varnish, polish or stain.

Applied as directed, so far looks as if has worked, does not leave any stains whatsoever and so easy to apply by either painting on or with brush, I opted for brush as felt maybe spray would stay in air longer meaning possibly breathing in. i had no smell from it either but did as told kept room well ventilated as advised on bottle. The service received was first class as was the packaging which was safe and secure. Pity though that smaller bottles available as my infestation was spotted early and small area on ew table leg.
