How to Use

1. Identify Exposed Areas: Ensure all exposed end grain, cuts, drilled areas and notches requiring additional protection are identified before treatment.

2. Apply Liberally: Apply the preserver liberally by brush to exposed end grain and allow the product to absorb into the timber.

3. Treat Thoroughly: Ensure all cut, drilled and notched areas are thoroughly treated for effective protection.

4. Apply Additional Coats: A minimum of two coats is recommended, depending on the wood species and surface characteristics.

5. Allow to Dry: Allow approximately 6–12 hours between coats.

6. Clean Tools: Clean application tools immediately after use with Barrettine White Spirit or Brush Cleaner.

Coverage

Application rate is approximately 180ml/m². Actual coverage may vary depending on the wood species, condition and absorbency of the exposed timber.

Important Information

• Designed specifically for exposed end grain, cuts, drilled areas and notches in suitable pressure-treated timber
• A minimum of two coats is recommended, depending on the wood species and surface characteristics
• Allow 6–12 hours between coats
• Ensure exposed areas are thoroughly treated and the product is allowed to penetrate the timber
• Clean tools immediately after use with Barrettine White Spirit or Brush Cleaner
